Lincoln Square Food Pantry Launching Fundraiser To Help More Neighbors In Need

LINCOLN SQUARE — A Lincoln Square food pantry facing increased demand because of the pandemic, rising food costs and more migrants settling in the area is throwing a summer fundraiser to serve more neighbors.
The Friendship Center is hosting the End Hunger Games fundraiser 3-6 p.m. Aug. 11 at Guild Row Social Club, 3130 N. Rockwell St.
Tickets start at $35, and the event will feature food, games such as corn hole, darts and a ping pong table, and other fun challenges as well as a cash bar. Tickets are available here.
“We’re also creating games around what we do every single day at the food pantry. Like packing a box: How fast can you pack a box with food items that would go to home delivery? Or how fast can you stock a pantry items and groceries together?” said Lauren Diaz, The Friendship Center’s development manager. Read More Here.
