District, Ravenswood’s Popular Furniture Store, Is Moving To Andersonville

ANDERSONVILLE — A popular Ravenswood furniture boutique is moving to Andersonville this spring.

After 10 years, District is moving from 4835 N. Damen Ave. in Ravenswood to 5430 N. Clark St. in Andersonville, store owner Chris Murphy said. The Clark storefront is the former home of Getir, a Turkish grocery delivery business.

Murphy said he didn’t plan to move the store but decided the new location was the right fit after discovering the empty space and connecting with its landlord. He expects to close the current location April 19 and reopen in Andersonville the first weekend of May. People can follow for updates on opening day and store hours on District’s Instagram.
