Infant/Toddler Teachers Wanted

Itsy Bitsy is a coworking space with onsite childcare, located in the North Center and Lincoln Square neighborhoods. Our mission is to provide a flexible childcare solution in a coworking environment, allowing parents to work while their children are cared for by our professional staff.

At Itsy Bitsy, we believe in the power of play-based learning to nurture children's growth and development in a loving, supportive, and caring environment. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Infant/Toddler Teacher (we call them "Playmakers") to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with infants and toddlers, creating engaging activities, and fostering a playful and educational atmosphere. As a Playmaker, you will have the opportunity to bring your creativity and ideas to the table, helping to develop the classroom and support the growth of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with infants and toddlers in a playful and nurturing manner to advance their physical and intellectual competence
• Adapt to meet the individual needs of each child
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement appropriate activities to support children’s growth and development
• Communicate effectively with families and team members
• Perform cleaning duties
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required

Qualifications

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build rapport with children
• Positive, patient and flexible demeanor
• Ability to comply in all respects with all applicable laws and regulations relating to childcare

Playmakers/ECE Teachers (Must have one of the two to qualify):

• 60 semester hours with 6 being related to ECE and/or Child Development; or
• One year of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center and 30 semester hours with 6 being ECE or related field
