The early postpartum period is a special and delicate time for new parents. Yoga can play an important part in supporting recovery from birth and adjustment to this wonderful and challenging new role. But as a teacher, there's a lot you need to know to safely and skillfully teach new parents. Whether you're teaching a specialized Postnatal Yoga or Baby & Me class, or you simply want to be more knowledgeable and prepared for when a postpartum student attends any of your classes, this information is a crucial part of your teaching toolkit. In this experiential training, you'll learn how to identify the physical, mental, and emotional challenges experienced after childbirth, and you'll explore creative ways to sequence a yoga class to meet those needs. By learning both the benefits of practicing yoga during the postpartum period as well as key safety considerations and contraindications, you'll build confidence in your knowledge and teaching skills. You'll also gain specific tips and techniques for creating community and managing the joys and challenges of incorporating babies into the practice via a Baby & Me class.Inclusivity, accessibility, and modifications will be emphasized throughout this training. You'll explore the importance of your language choices as a teacher as well as how to foster a community that is welcoming to all new parents while embracing the fact that each person's postpartum experience will look a little different. This training is intended for yoga teachers, but dedicated students are also welcome. The Fourth Trimester: Learning to Tea...Date and Time
